A senate of the Specialised Criminal Court (STS) in Pezinok (Bratislava region) on Tuesday found Tomas Sz. guilty of plotting to murder prosecutors Maros Zilinka, Daniel Lipsic and Peter Sufliarsky. The court didn't increase his punishment, as it views the 25-year sentence that he's currently serving for taking part in the premeditated murders of journalist Jan Kuciak and Martina Kusnirova and for complicity in the premeditated murder of businessman Petr Molnar as sufficient. This is the final verdict and cannot be contested. Tomas Sz. was subjected to separate proceedings after he pleaded guilty at the April trial. He expressed regret for his actions. When dropping the imposition of a combined (higher) sentence, the court took into consideration the possibility of Tomas Sz.'s rehabilitation and the fact that he pleaded guilty and expressed regret for his actions, said STS senate chair Ruzena Sabova.
