President Zuzana Čaputová signed an amendment to the Social Insurance Act on Tuesday. It will also introduce a parental pension. The head of state believes that the amendment can bring improvement to the vast majority of pensioners who have their own or adopted children. She has reservations about the fact that the parental pension will bring benefits to one group of pensioners, while not addressing others. She expects that this will be corrected in the subsequent legislative steps, mainly by focusing attention on groups of pensioners with the lowest pensions. (RTVS)
