The Slovak Land Fund has regained land near the village of Spacince, western Slovakia, from owners who bought it for an unreasonably low price with the declared, but unfulfilled, purpose of planting an orchard. Finance Minister Igor Matovic informed on Thursday that this is the first case in which fraudulently acquired property is being returned to the state. The Fund is calling on other owners of land acquired in this manner to return it.
