President to make speech in European Parliament

President Zuzana Caputova is set to make a speech before members of the European Parliament on Wednesday (October 19), TASR was told by the President's spokesperson Martin Strizinec on Tuesday. "The president's speech during a plenary session of the European Parliament is scheduled to begin after 11.30 a.m.," said the spokesperson, adding that Caputova will be received in Strasbourg by European Parliament President Roberta Metsola. "In addition, the head of state will meet European Parliament Vice-president Michal Simecka and Slovak MEPs, along with other Slovaks working for EU institutions," he added. She's also scheduled to hold talks with European Commission Vice-presidents Vera Jourova and Maros Sefcovic. (TASR)
