In 2022, employers in Slovakia set a new record in the number of job offers, with more than two months being left until the end of the year, said spokesperson for Profesia.sk jobs website Nikola Richterová. By October 11, companies have already published over 293,000 job offers thus exceeding the number from 2021 (exactly 292,805 adverts) which was the highest in the twenty-five-year history of the site. When comparing the past few months of this year with the same period last year, there's only one of the 39 sectors where the website recorded a year-on-year decrease.
"The most significant difference in the number of offers compared to last year was recorded by education and telecommunications," said Richterová, adding that while the field of education brought in less than 6,700 advertisements in 12 months last year, in the current year their number grew to 9,280 by October 11.
