On Wednesday, the European Commission approved the Slovak scheme of state aid worth €10 million for agriculture product processors and food industry producers in the face of the impacts of the Russian aggression against Ukraine. The EC established that this scheme is a necessary, appropriate and proportionate remedy to grave disruptions in the economy of the EU member state and also in line with terms defined under the temporary state aid framework. Specifically, the Slovak aid will not exceed €500,000 per recipient and will be provided by December 31, 2022.
