The police have proposed custody for a drunk driver who caused a tragic accident in Bratislava on Sunday (October 2) that claimed five lives, the police reported on a social network. The police have charged the driver with committing the crime of 'a general threat'. If found guilty, he could be sentenced to 20-25 years in prison, or serve a life sentence. The Bratislava regional prosecutor has filed a motion to remand the driver in custody. The prosecutor has thus upheld a motion filed by the police investigator, who also demanded custody for the suspect. Bratislava I district court now has 72 hours to decide on the prosecutor's motion, TASR learnt from court spokesman Pavol Adamciak. (TASR)
