Interior Minister Roman Mikulec (OLaNO) will remain in his post, as Parliament failed to dismiss him in a no-confidence motion on Tuesday. Only 58 MPs of the 145 MPs present for the vote supported his ouster, while 48 were against and 39 refrained from voting. MPs on Tuesday morning opened a regular House session that was supposed to start last week. Parliament was unable to form a quorum last week, as neither Freedom and Solidarity (SaS), nor the remaining opposition parties presented themselves at the session. A total of 117 MPs presented themselves on Tuesday.
