Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry President: Warning of collapse

Even though the Government often talks about the need to combat high inflation when it comes to the people, it forgets about the bankruptcy-inducing conditions faced by businesses, Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Peter Mihok declared on Wednesday.
He urged the Government to pass a national strategy for the fight against high energy prices immediately and such a plan must cover ballooning costs for households and companies alike. "Waiting for a joint solution at the level of the European Union is an excuse that no longer stands. The companies are forced to restrict and, more often than not, also shut down their production," underlined Mihok. A restart from such a position of collapse would be extremely complicated if not impossible, he warned. The Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry sees a solution in the introduction of regulated electricity and gas prices under strictly set and guaranteed conditions.
