MPs on Tuesday failed to initiate the regular parliamentary session meant to start on the same day after two unsuccessful attempts, as only 64 MPs presented themselves in the first vote and 71 in the second, meaning that no quorum was met in either attempt. Parliamentary Chair Boris Kollar (We Are Family) has therefore postponed the session until Tuesday, September 20. A quorum is only met in the Slovak Parliament when ‘more than half’ of its 150 MPs are present.
