At its session this week, the Government approved €350,000 for the Slovak Cycling Association to finance the international 'Tour of Slovakia' cycle race held between September 13-17. The money will be used to provide technical support for live TV transmissions by Eurosport, which will broadcast the race. The Slovak Cycling Association has calculated the total costs at just over €470,000. This sporting event is the most important cycle race in Slovakia and is classified as a world-class race. In the past years cycling stars such as Chris Froome, Julien Alaphilippe or the home crowd popular, Peter Sagan took part in the race.
