President in Greece to discuss European cooperation

Slovakia and Greece have the same position regarding respect for international law in connection with the Russian invasion of Ukraine or Turkey's actions in relation to Greece. Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová stated this on Tuesday during her official visit to Greece, according to the president’s spokesman Martin Strižinec. Čaputová met with Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Athens. She negotiated with them mainly about the possibility of using their LNG terminals to strengthen Slovakia's energy security, as Greece is aiming to become an energy center in Southern Europe. The Slovak and Greek representatives also talked about the current geopolitical situation, including the Russian invasion of Ukraine and relations between Greece and Turkey. A large delegation of businessmen, representatives of the state administration and research and non-profit organizations dedicated to the integration of excluded Roma communities into society accompanied the president to Greece.
