Cabinet approves concept and action plan to develop civil society

The Government at its session on Wednesday approved the Action Plan of the Civil Society Development Concept in Slovakia for the years 2022-2026. The action plan includes strengthening the participation of representatives of civil society and non-governmental non-profit organisations in participatory processes at the national and regional level, as well as preparing an adjustment of the crisis management system so that in the event of a pandemic or other emergency, representatives of relevant non-profit organisations would be invited to join advisory bodies. In addition, it features a proposal for new support mechanisms for NGOs. The plan defines strategic goals with specific measures in four thematic areas, which are to be fulfilled via two action plans.
