Government set to discuss motions on electricity and gas

The Government at its session on Wednesday was set to deal with, among other matters, a motion according to which hydroelectric and nuclear power plants would have to supply a set amount of electricity at a discounted price for households, regardless of whether a contract has been signed with Slovak Power Holding, the majority shareholder of power utility Slovenske elektrarne. The Government was also expected to address a similar motion concerning gas, but its wording hasn't yet been published. At the same time, the Cabinet is due to approve a project for the state presentation of Slovak art and culture in Norway, which should include a Day of Slovak Culture in Oslo on November 14. The event is meant to develop cooperation between the two countries in the field of culture and creative industries as well as boost interest in Slovakia among Norwegian people in terms of tourism and the economy.
