The impact of the war in Ukraine on regions that are key for European security, increasing the effectiveness of defence investments, and new possibilities of EU support for Ukraine were high on the agenda of the informal talks held in recent days in Prague by EU defence ministers, including Slovak Defence Minister Jaroslav Nad. This according to ministry spokesperson Martina Koval Kakascikova, speaking with TASR news agency. According to Defense Minister Nad, the discussions also focused on the future of EU missions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the western African country of Mali, as well as dealing with the current situation in Kosovo. The defence ministers also discussed a proposal to create an EU training and consulting mission for Ukraine, the details of which were presented in Prague by the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell.
