Dust originating from the Caspian Sea area, mainly from the steppes of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, has been detected in Slovakia's air particularly in the eastern regions, the Slovak Hydrometeorological Office reported on Thursday. "The dust from the dry areas around the Caspian Sea gets above our land a lot less frequently as compared to dust from the Sahara. August is the first month this year when such dust has made its way to Slovakia," reads the text. The dust has caused lower visibility and the colouring of the skies a lighter tinge of blue.
