Helping Ukraine in its struggle for survival is a historical test and the future of Europe depends on it, Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Ivan Korcok stated in Austria on Wednesday. Korcok took part in a traditional international conference in Alpbach called the European Forum, dedicated to the current challenges to Europe. "The fact that we've been able to respond unitedly and in solidarity strengthens Europe's geopolitical position and gives us hope for the restoration of international order," emphasised Korcok in connection with the aid to Ukraine, which has been facing Russian military aggression for six months now. The minister drew attention to the coming period of uncertainty and instability in security, economy and energy. "Whether we manage these challenges, largely depends on whether we manage to maintain unity and solidarity within the European Union," he stressed.
