Kremnica Gags festival to resume after two years

This year, the Kremnica Gags European Festival of Humor and Satire will bring 117 performances by artists from Slovakia and abroad on eight stages. The 42nd edition of the festival will be thematically focused on countries neighboring Slovakia, according to festival producer Pavol Kelley. Artists from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Austria and Ukraine, together with artists from Slovakia, will perform at the festival over the coming weekend under the theme Neighbors. The Kremnica Gags festival will start with the opening ceremony on Friday (26 August) at 1:00 p.m., and will continue until Sunday (28 August) evening. The European Festival of Humor and Satire Kremnica Gags was first held in Kremnica in 1981. Every year, the Academy of Humor awards the Golden Gunner award for the best art of the year at the event.
