The use of local renewable energy sources might help overcome energy crises and bolster self-sufficiency, President Zuzana Caputova stated on a social network following her visit of a Slovak startup called GA Drilling on Wednesday. According to Caputova, renewable energy is the best recipe for stable prices and prosperity. The startup in question is developing an innovative way of drilling that will enable to drill at a cheaper cost and at greater depths. "Innovative methods of underground drilling might turn geothermal energy into a key source of clean energy, aside from the solar and wind energy. Thus, it might become part of the solution for a climate-neutral future. Last but not least, it can also bolster our energy independence," said Caputova.
