Slovak architect and educator Peter Bauer died on Monday at the age of 75. He was the author of the building of the Slovenská sporiteľňa bank and also co-author of the new building of the Slovak National Theatre (SND) in Bratislava. TASR was informed by the architect's son Ondrej Bauer. In connection with his death, the SND itself expressed its condolences to his family. The project by young architects Martin Kusý, Pavel Paňák and Peter Bauer won a public competition in 1979 over 49 projects. "Peter Bauer was responsible for the communal areas such as the foyer and also the artwork," the Slovak National Theatre said.
