Schools without basic coronavirus restrictions

In the approaching new school year 2022/2023, schools will operate as they did before the COVID-19 pandemic, without any major restrictions, Education, Science, Research and Sport Minister Branislav Groehling announced on Friday. Pupils will sit at their desks without the need to wear face masks or respirators, and only a person tested positive will have to self-isolate. In the case of a major outbreak, headteachers will have the option to close a class for five days or declare a flu holiday. In the event of a change in the situation, the Education Ministry will respond to the situation at hand.
