There are already 17 people who have been legally convicted in media-monitored cases involving members of the security forces and former state officials. Police President Stefan Hamran told a press conference on Thursday, adding that the evidence gathered by police officers had stood up in court proceedings. He also pointed out that in the case of several of those convicted, they were nominees of Robert Fico's government, which has permanently criticised and questioned the procedure of law enforcement authorities in the cases under investigation.
