The Slovak Environmental Agency intends to announce the first call for the renovation of family houses from the EU’s Recovery and Resilience Facility by the end of September 2022. In total, Slovakia has allocated more than half a billion euro for renovation of 30,000 family houses. By the end of the year, the Agency is to conclude contracts for the renovation of the first four thousand family houses. In the following years it should be seven thousand houses per year and in 2026, when the renovation plan will be concluded, five thousand houses should be renovated. “Given the low absorption of EU funds in Slovakia, this plan sounds ambitious,“ wrote the Euractiv.sk website.
