Foreign minister rejects Budapest claims of Slovak brown nosing on Ukraine

Slovak Foreign Minister Ivan Korčok has rejected claims by Budapest that the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic want to please the European Union on the issue of the Russian-Ukrainian war. At a joint press conference on Tuesday with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, Korčok claimed that the two countries are doing what they believe is right. He added that he understands the Hungarian attitude less and less, and that he feels Budapest is keen to use every opportunity to deviate from common solutions within the EU. In the recent statement under question, made by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán during a visit to Romania, he added that supplying arms to Ukraine only prolongs the war because Ukraine receives Western weapons, which are then acquired by the Russians. "The war can only be ended by Russian-American negotiations," he said.
