Slovakia and Germany sign dialogue declaration for 2022-2024

On Tuesday in Bratislava, Slovak Foreign Minister Ivan Korčok and German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock signed a declaration on deepened dialogue between the Slovak Republic and Germany for the years 2022 to 2024. Based on this declaration, the Slovak Republic and Germany will adopt an action plan by the end of this year that will specifically relate to individual areas of cooperation. During the day, the ministers also discussed the events in Ukraine, the Slovak presidency of the Visegrad Four (V4), and the Western Balkans, reports the TASR news agency. Korčok stated that the declaration underlines the principles of cooperation, and added that Germany is Slovakia's most important economic partner. Last year, mutual trade reached a volume of almost 36 billion euros, with more than 600 German companies operating in Slovakia, which employ more than 150,000 skilled people.
