Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Miroslav Lajčák sent a telegram of condolence to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in connection with the accident in the Moscow metro.
“It is with deep emotion and sorrow Slovakia received the information regarding the crash in the Moscow subway, which killed many people and in which many were injured. Please allow me to express my deepest condolences to you and assure you that you have our sincerest sympathy for the families and relatives of the victims of this tragic disaster”, says the telegram. According to current information, the Moscow subway derailment has claimed the lives of 21 victims with more than 150 others injured. The accident occurred during morning rush hour.
