The suspended trial of former prosecutor-general Dobroslav Trnka concerning the Gorilla scandal continued on Monday at Bratislava I District Court with the questioning of three experts. The main hearing is adjourned until Wednesday, July 13, 2022, when the audio recordings are due to be played. The ex-chief prosecutor has been charged with misusing his powers while in office. According to the National Crime Agency, Trnka failed to prosecute all the crimes about which he had knowledge. The police have maintained that the defendant received an audio recording related to the Gorilla scandal, which he kept in his possession and used to blackmail financier Jaroslav Hascak.
