According to Deputy Foreign Minister Ingrid Brockova, Slovakia is prepared to play an instrumental role in helping Ukraine recover after the war, since the economic prosperity of Ukraine might beget the economic development of Slovakia as well. At a round table organised by Prime Minister Eduard Heger on the restoration of Ukraine on Thursday, she also stated that a crucial aspect of accomplishing quality results regarding Slovakia's participation in the post-war recovery of Ukraine will be an efficient coordination between public, private and NGO sectors. The Head of the Council of Slovak Exporters Lukas Parizek stated on Thursday that his organisation is aware of a number of areas in which Slovak businesses could help the Ukrainians with restoring their country if the Slovak Government gives them sufficient guarantees or if the Government itself partakes in such assistance.
According to him, Slovak entrepreneurs could help in the field of energy, health sector, air transport, but also with demining the county and restoration of critical infrastructure, for instance.
