President Zuzana Čaputová is heading to Spain. She will represent Slovakia at the NATO summit, which starts today, 28 June, and will continue until 30 June in Madrid. According to the president's spokesman, Martin Strižinec, the summit will also deal with the alliance's response to the new security environment, which is likely to mean strengthening NATO's military presence on its eastern flank. At the same time, the alliance is also expected to adopt a new strategic concept for the next decade. On the eve of the official start of the event, Čaputová will attend a gala dinner hosted by Spain's King Philip VI and Queen Letizia at the Royal Palace in Madrid.
