NATO multinational battle group in Slovakia is completed

The multinational NATO battle group in Slovakia has been completed, assembled as an element of NATO deterrence and defence, Defence Minister Jaroslav Nad posted on a social network on Monday. The German mechanised group with its Boxer IFVs was welcomed in the Lešť military training camp by its new commander, Colonel Ladislav Bujarek of the Czech Armed Forces, on Monday. "I'd like to thank our allies from Germany, but also others who contribute towards our security and help us become a stronger link in the NATO chain, which has been growing stronger with each passing day," said Nad. Overall, there are about 1,600 allied soldiers stationed in Slovakia, prepared to defend Slovakia along with Slovak professional soldiers, added the minister.
