“I will submit a draft constitutional law by August 25 that would allow for shortening the parliamentary electoral term,” Speaker of Parliament and 'We Are Family' leader Boris Kollár said on Sunday. According to him, 'We Are Family' would support such a law even if it was presented by the opposition. "If there is such a proposal, I'll support it," he said. MP and vice-chair of the extra-parliamentary Voice-SD party Richard Raši pointed out that Kollár had not supported such a proposal in the past. On behalf of his party, Raši also declared that they support the petition for a referendum initiated by the opposition Smer-SD party.
