The National Council did not discuss high food prices on Thursday. The plenary did not approve the agenda of the extraordinary session, which was initiated by the opposition party Smer-SD. However, the parliament approved changes in the reimbursement of expensive modern medicines from public health insurance. Thus, patients will no longer be approved by health insurance companies for exceptions. The changes are brought about by an amendment on the scope and conditions of the reimbursement of medicines from the work of the Ministry of Health. The amendment is to bring a more efficient process of concluding contracts on the conditions of the reimbursement of medicines. Today, the discussion of MPs on the motion to dismiss Environment Minister Ján Budaj continues. Four more speakers have signed up in writing, after which MPs will have the opportunity to make spoken interventions. The extraordinary session started on Thursday evening, according to the petitioner Miroslav Suja, Minister Budaj is not handling the situation with bears or other areas in his department. The government does not agree with the motion to dismiss the minister. It also stresses that the safety of citizens will be paramount for both the government and the minister. It also rejects the politicisation of brown bear problems.
