Interior Minister held talks with Croatian counterpart in Split

Interior Minister Roman Mikulec supported Croatia's accession to the Schengen area during his official visit to Split on Wednesday. In Croatia, Mikulec met with his counterpart Davor Bozinovic, with whom he discussed the topic of joining EU structures, the summer season of Slovaks in Croatia, Slovakia's moves in regards to the war in Ukraine and cooperation between Slovak and Croatian firefighting and rescue services. The successful Croatian Safe Tourist Destination project, under which Slovak police officers are sent to Croatia in the summer, was also a topic of discussion. The first four officers took up their duties already on Wednesday. After six weeks, they will be replaced by four other colleagues. Slovak police officers will remain in the holiday destination until 15 September.
