Parliament will vote on the so-called anti-inflation package, vetoed by President Zuzana Caputova, next Tuesday (June 21) afternoon, OLaNO caucus head Michal Sipos told TASR on Tuesday. MPs were originally slated to vote on the package on Tuesday, but the vote was postponed as a number of OLaNO MPs intending to vote in favour of breaking the president's veto were not available, said Sipos. Some parties haven't yet stated clearly how will they vote on the vetoed law. Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Smer-SD head Robert Fico opined that the Government is socially "humiliating" people in the face of rising energy and food prices. He has stated that the inflation aid package for families is a "mockery", adding that he rather agrees with the president's arguments for vetoing the bill, and claimed that not a single Smer-SD MP will vote in favour of the package in the repeated vote in Parliament.
