President Zuzana Čaputová has discussed support for granting Ukraine candidate status for accession to the European Union in a video call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Polish President Andrzej Duda. The main topic of Monday's phone call was how to persuade states that are still sceptical on this issue. The president stressed that she would therefore continue communicating with several European presidents on the issue. Zuzana Čaputová joined the video call from home, where she is still recovering after testing positive for the coronavirus last week.
