Hearing of candidates for the post of general director of public-service broadcaster RTVS in front of the parliamentary culture and media committee will take place on Monday (June 13). A live broadcast from the public hearing of candidates for RTVS chief will be accessible on the parliament's website.
The list of candidates includes the current RTVS head Jaroslav Rezník, RTVS’s former programme director Tibor Búza, manager and former advisor to Prime Minister Heger on digitalization Ivan Golian, former programme director of the Slovak Radio Luboš Machaj, te marketing manager for banking, finance and telecommunications Daniel Živica, film producer Peter Badač, Vladimír Seman, chief producer and programme director of regional televisions, co-founder of religious broadcasting in STV and Peter Janků who is a former investigative reporter, former head of the art and decoration workshops of the Slovak National Theatre and songwriter.
Members of an expert commission set up by the committee, featuring media experts and representatives of the academic and cultural community, NGOs, minorities and disadvantaged groups, will also put questions to the candidates.
