After several years, Slovakia is expected to fill the post of additional judge at the General Court of the EU in Luxembourg as its candidate Beatrix Ricziova has obtained a positive opinion following her hearing. This means that nothing should prevent her from officially taking office, the Justice Ministry has reported. Ricziova was first proposed as a candidate by Justice Minister Maria Kolikova, with the Judicial Council later deciding to propose her for the post to the Government, which ultimately greenlighted the nomination. Until now, she has been representing Slovakia in the EU courts.
