More than 500 people signed up for voluntary military training

This year 527 candidates applied for voluntary military training. The Ministry of Defence continues to communicate with them regarding the completion of applications and documents, so the actual number will be known only after the process is completed. A maximum of 150 people can undergo training. The Ministry of Defence says that in 2019, they registered 122 applications. In the previous two years, training was not conducted due to the pandemic. Citizens between the ages of 19 and 55 can be recruited for voluntary military training. Physical fitness, mental endurance and medical condition are assessed. The training is scheduled to take place from 6 July to 23 September. In addition to acquiring basic knowledge and practical skills in the use of weapons, the training will also aim to increase physical fitness and readiness to cope with stressful and stressful situations. Upon successful completion of the training, the graduates are enlisted in the reserves. They also have the opportunity to join the active reserves and thus be prepared for deployment in domestic crisis management.
