Economy Ministry aims to deepen Slovakia's business ties with Indiana

Relations between Slovakia and the US State of Indiana have great potential for further development. According to Deputy Economy Minister Karol Galek there is interest in deepening cooperation in the field of energy and further boosting business ties, as well as cooperation in the area of education to meet the needs of industry, following his talks with Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb and Secretary of Commerce Brad Chambers at the Indiana Global Economic Summit last week. "Indiana exports goods worth more than one million USD (€933,000) to Slovakia annually. Companies based in Indiana are already operating in Slovakia. However, there is still great potential for further cooperation," Galek stressed. The main topics of Galek's meeting with Holcomb were therefore the decarbonisation of industry, the use of renewable energy, small modular reactors and hydrogen in industry.
