The amount of the subsistence minimum should increase by 7.5% as of July, as this was the amount by which the incomes of Slovak households grew per person in the first quarter of 2022, the Statistics Office has reported. The increase in the minimum subsistence level determines not only the adjustment of benefits for those in material need, but also the adjustment of dozens of social and health benefits or cash allowances linked to the minimum subsistence level.
