Slovaks plan spending their holiday at home

More than half of the Slovaks who want to go on vacation this summer season aim to spend it in Slovakia. According to the report by Slovakia Travel, recent surveys show that the country beat even such destinations as Greece and Croatia in this regard. According to these surveys, interest among Slovaks in spending their holiday in Slovakia is growing, especially when it comes to vacations that will last less than four days. This is still the case even for vacations lasting at least five days, but Slovakia is no longer such a dominant leader in this respect, followed by Croatia, Greece and Italy.

Slovakia Travel claimed that approximately 30 percent of Slovaks are planning a holiday this year. When it comes to the manner in which Slovaks spend their vacation time, mountain hiking and tourism are top, followed by spas and aquaparks, cottages and staying at home.

The organisation noted that it is currently finalising the preparations for a summer campaign, which will be launched in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Hungary, Scandinavia and the Baltic States.
