Parliament approved late on Tuesday an anti-inflation aid sponsored by the Finance Ministry. The bill garnered 83 votes out of the 131 lawmakers present. It received support from coalition MPs from the OLaNO, For the People and We Are Family parties, as well as from the opposition far-right LSNS party and from a number of independent MPs. The coalition SaS party along with independent MPs centred around Peter Pellegrini voted against the bill, with Smer-SD lawmakers abstaining from the vote.
