Bratislava shuts down its refugee assistance centre

The city of Bratislava is cancelling its so-called Point of First Contact refugee assistance service at the Bratislava main train station, due to the declining number of Ukrainian refugees who need help directly at the station. A mobile team from the Tenenet civic association, however, will still remain available, according to a post by city representatives on a social network on Tuesday. "Recent weeks have shown that the number of incoming people who need aid directly at the main train station is rapidly declining and the areas in which they most often seek help have changed, too," stated the city authority.
