On Monday, Prime Minister Eduard Heger wrote on social media that he welcomed Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson's announcement that her country would apply to join the NATO and expressed support for Sweden and Finland joining the Alliance. "Although Sweden and Finland have relied on neutrality for decades, the Russian invasion has forced them to reconsider this decision. The security of their people in the face of the threat from Moscow has the first place," stated Heger. Magdalena Andersson announced on Monday that Sweden will formally apply to join NATO.
