Foreign Affairs Minister Ivan Korcok has awarded a Golden Plaque to outgoing US Ambassador to Slovakia Bridget Brink, praising the diplomat for her contribution to the development of Slovak-American ties. In his opinion, special attention should be paid to the signing of the Defence Cooperation Agreement between Slovakia and the USA. He also noted that Slovakia has received a battery of the Patriot air-defence system from the USA thanks to Brink's engagement in the matter. After less than three years in Slovakia, ambassador Brink is to continue her diplomatic mission in Kyiv.
