The state provides insufficient financial support for youth and athletes, according to an official audit. In many cases, aid covers only the bare essentials for organising training camps, camps or competitions. Without support from private sources, sports clubs would struggle to maintain youth teams in competitions. This is evident from an audit by the Supreme Audit Office of the Slovak Republic, which took place between 2018 and 2020.
