Foreign Minister Ivan Korcok welcomed the joint statement by the Finnish president and prime minister on the country's decision to join NATO on Thursday. "Slovakia supports a swift accession process," the minister wrote on his Twitter account. Finnish President Sauli Niinistö and Premier Sanna Marin announced earlier in the day that they support their country joining NATO. Sweden is expected to announce its decision on joining NATO in the next few days.
