At its regular session on Wednesday, the Government okayed a one-off increase in contributions to foster parents, people in material need and personal carers for May. The Cabinet did so by amending the government directive on certain measures in the field of social affairs, the family and employment services at the time of the extraordinary or emergency situation related to COVID-19. Also eligible for this aid are people aged 62 and over who are not recipients of an old-age pension and are not engaged in any activity that provides an income.
