Monday's speech of Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed the fundamental problem underlying the whole Russian aggression against Ukraine, chief of Slovak diplomacy Ivan Korcok declared on the same day. Vladimir Putin in his speech defended the invasion of Ukraine. He said that Russian forces are continuing their fight and called the military operation "the only right choice". Ivan Korcok vehemently objected to claims that the reasons behind the Russian invasion were plans harboured by NATO to intervene militarily against Russia with respect to Crimea and Donbas.
"Once again, I'm asking Russia to stop this senseless war, stop the military operations immediately, withdraw its troops from Ukrainian territory and thus pave the basic way for a peaceful resolution to this conflict," said Korcok.
