The Supreme Court on Monday overturned an earlier decision by the Specialized Criminal Court, which decided not to take into custody Marek Para, a lawyer charged in the National Criminal Agency's Operation Twilight. The Supreme Court thus upheld the prosecutor's complaint, according to whom the lawyer could potentially influence witnesses and co-accused. The lawyer was arrested and charged by the National Crime Agency on April 20. Together with Smer-SD chief Robert Fico and former Interior Minister Robert Kaliňák, he faces charges of establishing and conspiring to form a criminal group.
